Kayla handed me that book last night and urged me to read it. She said it's a beautiful story. Of course, she just wanted me to not watch TV so she could read in peace.I looked at the book doubtfully. As a rule, I do not read books that are printed in large fonts. Anyway, I humored her. Page 258 and still no freakin' contact. No death... no sex... not even a freakin' kissing scene.
As Horatio Caine would say - and THAT... is why it's teenage lit.
