Pay Parking in QC

The topic in this morning's current issues is the proposed parking fee of P20 for the first 2 hours in all of Quezon City. The program devoted about 15 minutes to this issue which I found absolutely idiotic! The business association wanted to stop this proposal because it may discourage people from coming to the area and therefore kill the businesses there while the local government wanted to make sure that the parking spots in the city were monitored by uniformed and accredited parking attendants much like in Makati City. Parking in Makati, BTW, is P40 for the first 2 hours.

I have never decided not to go to a certain place because I had to pay parking fees. I don't know if there is actually anyone who would do so. Can you imagine it? You own a car but you wouldn't go to certain places because of parking fees? Don't car owners incorporate parking fees in his or her budget? If not then he is a fool.
