Coz This Is Primetime TV

Jon and I watch the teleseryes that begin after the evening news.

We watch May Bukas Pa because it's entertaining to watch Dina Bonnevie's evil, scheming character and Arlene Mulach, the town chismosa. Ogie Diaz provides light comedy that adds a lot to the entertainment value of the show. ABS-CBN stars grace the show every few episodes so it is really star-studded. It's remarkable how there are so many happenings in that small town, Bagong Pag-asa.

After MBP, is Only You which is something I will write about separately.

We eagerly await Tayong Dalawa which we find riveting because of the very complicated plot. Oftentimes, I would think up outrageous situations and I would tell Jon that this is what's going to happen and sure enough, it happens. We find Coco Martin's acting commendable. That young man has great talent and a bright future. I hope the industry recognizes all his attributes. Gerald Anderson, Jake Cuenca and the rest of the cast are talented as well. Cherry Pie Picache, of course, is Cherry Pie Picache. I did notice that her tone doesn't change. She sounded exactly the same in the other teleserye that I used to watch starring Claudine Barretto and Gabby Concepcion, Iisa Pa Lamang. Kim Chui is like a bottomless well of tears. Her character here is so lame I itch to change the channel when she has scenes. Two rich, handsome, young men are crazy in love with her and she sacrifices herself for love. Geez.

So what?, you ask? Nothing. This is the intro to the next blog about Only You.
